Are Worse Than Guns
Joseph Stalin famously said, "Education is a weapon whose effect depends on who holds it in his hands and whom it is aimed."
Words have power. They can be used, misused, and abused. The hand behind the pen is no different than the hand behind the gun, but no news journalist will acknowledge this comparison, and no one cries out for word control, or education control (but they will) while many cry out for gun control. However, word control, and word distortion, and word modification is happening, as I have pointed out with ‘social justice’ and others.
No journalist will point out the ‘gun’ and ‘word’ similarity for ‘control’, or ‘speech control’, but it all boils down to “People Control.” In the long run, damage done with words is as serious as damage by guns. Those who demand gun control will vilify you if you oppose their views, but you can bet they will hold on to their own guns if they have them, as well as the guns of those paid to protect them. If you do not believe they’ll do this, look at Alinsky Rule #13, “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it." This means that they can say whatever they want even if it is not what they do. “Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety, and uncertainty.”
When everyone in the media is saying the same thing, using same words, watch out! It is like a mass-shooting with words and with as many mental casualties! The truth is that control of words, guns, speech, and minds are really about people control. Dictators control the media, as well as the guns. Why can’t we all see that? What is said, and who can say it, words and guns, are very closely related. It used to look like they meant control guns today, words tomorrow. We may already be there.
Then Ray surprised me, “And this lack of critical disclosure is rampant in the news media. I remember what you said. ‘It is all in what is left unsaid that does so much more harm.’ Not telling that the store a man is looking for in the dark, only 100 feet ahead, has big sinkhole between him and the store, is telling the truth, but not the whole truth, deadly. And the media will decide where they want you to be fooled.”
“So, how can you overcome that?”
“Read between the lines. Is the media manipulating where they want you to go, even when saying not to go there? “First, understanding when they use either of the two types of manipulation: environmental or people manipulation. Second, overlapping factual news and ideological editorials or quoting undisclosed sources and distract you to look elsewhere by avoiding the real facts. Third, limits your choices to two or les, manipulators do not give proper choices. Dig for more, come up with your own. Fourth, when the media all moves in the same collective direction, pushing same ideology, not informing the public of the whole truth. What gets them to go there? I have my suspicions. At a low level, it may have to do with the sense of “writer’s power” and a misplaced writer’s syndrome of “I write, people read it, I know more than they do.” But at a deeper level, it is the Elite’s idea that they have the right and duty to think for the masses. Going deeper, there are those few who want the absolute power and control, surfacing to the top along with others at the top, developing an organization below them with effective influence, they begin to acquire a strategic manipulated direction. It is no longer the tactics of a writer or the agenda of an editor. It is the goal of the controller or wealthy power-obsessed that is the motivating factor. It gets into the realm of conspiracy theory, but some of them have proven true in the past. Hitler, Mussolini, Lenin, Castro, Ho Chi Minh, and others, and those individuals do fight among themselves, and they get replaced with time, so that their final goals are not always in sink, even if their strategy coincide: The media responsibility in their use of words is huge. When the media emphasizes gun control, it is not the real issue. It's straight up people control, and they are complicit. But why? When the laws on the books for gun control are not even enforced, plus criminals don’t follow them, while they want more laws and more control, those laws are not for the here and now, but for the future. The media misleads.

Power is understanding the concept of self-sufficiency for everyone, you don’t tell people what to think. You give information. The same with safety. Don’t ask the police to provide safety for you. You do it and ask the police to help you with the enforcing of it, but when people are killing their own people, what are they asking the police to do? To join them in the killing?
Government healthcare another big issue. Our healthcare today has big problems needing corrections in terms of corruption, cost, and management. Money, and the big corporations have too much influence on writing the laws, their marriage with Government control is not the answer. Look at what is not said: 1) that you give away control of your doctor, your health, and the length of your life. 2) that governments throw many other issues into it, like your banking information, history, taxes, and usurps your privacy without your awareness or consent, and 3) the result when others pay for it is that people get fatter and sloppier and overmedicated. We suffer from apathy. Many other issues related to health are also related to imposing control, and the line gets murky when the government assumes responsibility for managing health decision, like when the service is to be available. All this control leads to massive social injustices. So, when socialistic decisions are made from the top down with the administration of the money, the people at the bottom get the crumbs. We are moving away from social justice into a systematic social injustice.
