Who are you? And who am I?

Should others and I strive, or not, for self-reliance and self-sufficiency as an important element in life?  Page 21.

When someone exhaust their mental energy just meeting daily needs, is there energy left to change their situation? Poor and hungry people have no time to rebel, – one of the main strategies of Communism

On day, I was told: “…It is not your role. Do not waste your time, our time, on them… “

…when we help and how we help often prevents others from learning while instead it builds dependency… do people need to learn to solve their own problems.…? Page 21”

Often in organizing there is often the attempt to remove self-determination from people’s consciousness in exchange for a collective mentality to missdirectid action. Page 224.

…there is power is in sharing self-determination, sharing freedom, equality, equity, accept value in inequalities, and impartiality when appropriate, sharing the right to be different and to excel. P.225 raising to the top and bringing others along on the journey. These are American values! This is what makes America extraordinary, elevating millions out of poverty worldwide.

The crux of a real victory of social justice should be healthy families.

The Barrio people, the rehab crew, the self-help housing families, they all experienced the transformation that results from ignoring assimilation, and instead turning inward to cultural pride, family and country, a renewed self-fulfilling-life, doing what is right, without waiting for leaders or followers, simply active participation with self-determination, teamwork and the true love of a life well lived while maintaining all cultural and religious values, and respecting those of others. This is uniquely possible in the American culture.P.549

Equity is not ending equally. The opposite, equity allows for just inequalities, by justice and self-determination, not by enforcement. Social justice is not obtained by enforcement, but should be learned on an individual basis. P. 227
